Job summary

KingRecruitingServices in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract position with potential for permanency. The role covers local facilities within a 10-15 mile radius, with a Monday–Friday 7:00 am–5:30 pm schedule (8-hour shifts).

At least 1 year of diagnostic phlebotomy experience is required. Responsibilities include blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and proper handling to maintain specimen integrity per protocols. Benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures. Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Follow physician orders and match requisitions to tubes.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity per protocol; comply with OSHA/DEP regulations and trainings.
