United Future in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. The position covers locations within a 10-15 mile radius and requires Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–5:30 PM shifts.

The role involves performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and transporting specimens according to procedures, with OSHA/DEP compliance and annual trainings required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification required in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws and labeling specimens.
• Centrifuging specimens and recording maintenance data.
• Decontamination and updating patient information; collecting and storing specimens per procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients; ensure test requisitions match labels.
• Package specimens for transport and store them per required temperatures; comply with protocols.
