Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in San Antonio, TX. The position covers locations within a 10-15 mile radius with a Monday–Friday 7am–5:30pm shift, lasting about 3 months with potential for permanent hire.

The role requires blood-d drawn skills, specimen labeling, and adherence to safety regulations. Benefits are available; prior diagnostic phlebotomy experience is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months’ work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explains the venipuncture process clearly and courteously, and performs specimen collection as required.
• Demonstrates technique with straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Ensure test requisitions match specimens and properly package specimens for transport.
