Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in San Antonio, TX, covering a 10–15 mile radius. An 8-hour shift weekdays 7am-5:30pm. The position offers benefits and a 3-month projected duration with potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling and processing specimens, and ensuring OSHA/DEP compliance. Minimum 1 year of diagnostic phlebotomy experience is required along with MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification required for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months’ venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Associate or higher degree not required; HS Diploma or GED accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection per procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens correctly; maintain accurate maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture procedures clearly to patients and ensure specimen integrity.
