Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is seeking a patient-focused Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in San Antonio, TX, with potential for permanent roles. The role covers multiple local sites with an 8-hour shift; Monday through Friday 7am-5:30pm.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, data recording, proper specimen handling, and ensuring compliance with OSHA/DEP protocols. A valid phlebotomy certification and at least 1 year of diagnostic phlebotomy experience are

Qualifications

Valid phlebotomy certification required for the state of employment.
Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and explains venipuncture process to patients.
Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles and ensure 100% correct test requisitions.
Package specimens for transport and store samples at required temperatures.
Maintain OSHA/DEP compliance and attend annual trainings; handle inquiries and communicate results.
