Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3‑month contract with potential to convert to permanent. This float position covers multiple local locations within a 10–15 mile radius, and requires availability Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:30 pm (8 hour shift).

The main duties include performing blood draws, labeling and centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and ensuring proper transport and storage.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification required in the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in fast-paced lab or hospital.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocols.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations; attend trainings.
• Answer inquiries and read lab results to satisfy inquiries.
