Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking a Phlebotomist in Shelby, NC for a contract role with potential for permanent placement. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm.

The position requires blood draws, specimen handling, and accurate documentation within a fast-paced clinical lab. The ideal candidate will have a phlebotomy certification (state-dependent), 6 months of venipuncture experience, and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification is required in some states.

• Minimum 1 year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens for tests.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes and ensure labeling accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity.
