Your Talent Team is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract in Newberg, OR. The role involves performing blood draws, labeling and handling specimens, and maintaining accurate records. A state phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight or butterfly needles.
• Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results.
