RRC Solutions Group is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the team in Newberg, OR. The role involves blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging, and accurate data entry, with a focus on safe handling and patient communication.

This contract position supports the laboratory’s workflow and requires certification and hands-on venipuncture experience. Schedule is M-F with rotating Saturdays and potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Demonstrate technique with straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Ensure test requisitions match specimen tubes and labels, achieving 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples per protocol to maintain integrity.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend department trainings.
• Answer phone inquiries and relay laboratory results as needed.
