Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Phlebotomist in Newberg, OR for a 3-month contract with potential for permanent placement. The role involves blood draws, labeling, and adherence to procedures. The schedule is M-F 7am-3:30pm with rotating Saturdays, and benefits are available.

The ideal candidate has phlebotomy certification and venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab, plus MS Office proficiency. OSHA guidelines must be followed, and annual trainings are required.

Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification as required by state where employed
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures
• Explain venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage and temperature control
• Attend annual department trainings and comply with OSHA regulations
