Job summary

The phlebotomist will perform blood draws, specimen labeling, and processing in a fast-paced lab environment in Newberg, OR. Responsibilities include tracking specimens, ensuring accurate labeling, and maintaining data on equipment and procedures, with adherence to OSHA regulations.

This is a contract opportunity with potential for permanent placement and available benefits. Candidates should have phlebotomy certification and related venipuncture experience, plus basic proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

Valid phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
Match requisition forms to specimen tubes, label and process specimens as required.
Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures.
