• Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, and recording maintenance data.
• Collects and stores specimens according to procedures and explains venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensures correct labeling and handling.
• Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations and attend annual department trainings.
• Answer calls and review laboratory results as needed.
