Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract assignment in Newberg, OR. Schedule: M-F 7am-3:30pm with rotating Saturdays; duration is approximately 3 months with potential for permanent hire.

The role includes blood draws, specimen handling, labeling, packaging for transport, and compliance with OSHA/lab procedures. Requires a certified phlebotomist with at least 6 months venipuncture experience, MS Office proficiency, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens.
• Record maintenance data and decontamination; update patient information as required.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as needed.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures according to protocol.
