Modern Machining Solutions Inc in Austin is seeking a Phlebotomist for a 3-month contract with potential to become permanent. The phlebotomist will float among Austin-area labs, perform blood draws, label specimens, and ensure proper specimen handling and transport.

The role requires phlebotomy certification, 6+ months venipuncture experience, MS Office proficiency, and a valid driving record. Mileage expenses are paid; benefits may be available.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Explain the venipuncture process to patients clearly and courteously.
