Qualifications

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the state of employment.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and venipuncture as required.
• Label and centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate work areas and update patient information as needed.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly to patients and demonstrate technique.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper labeling and test requisitions.
