The Keystone Distinction Group seeks a Phlebotomist for a contract role in the Austin area, with potential for permanent placement. You will perform blood draws and manage specimens. Responsibilities include labeling, centrifuging, documenting results, and ensuring proper transport while following OSHA guidelines.

A valid phlebotomy certification and reliable transportation are required. Schedule is M-F 8am–5pm with possible additional daytime hours; length initially about 3 months with

• Valid phlebotomy certification for the employing state.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Match requisitions to specimen tubes and label correctly.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and transport to maintain integrity.
• Attend annual department trainings and stay compliant with OSHA regulations.
• Answer calls and read lab results to satisfy inquiries.
