Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking a Phlebotomist to support multiple Montgomery County, MD facilities. The role includes blood draws, specimen labeling, and handling to maintain specimen integrity.

The position requires certification, at least 2 years of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Schedule is Mon-Fri day shifts; duration is 3 months with potential for permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and label specimens.
• Centrifuge specimens and record maintenance data.
• Decontaminate and update patient information as required.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Package specimens for transport and store per protocol.
• Ensure proper labeling and test requisitions match.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer phone calls and relay lab results as needed.
