Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a contract Phlebotomist to support multiple sites in Montgomery County, MD. This role involves blood draws, specimen handling, and adherence to safety protocols.

It’s a 1st shift position with potential for permanent placement after the initial 3-month period. You’ll work in a fast-paced clinical lab environment, perform venipuncture with straight or butterfly needles, document results, and stay compliant with OSHA and DEP regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid state phlebotomy certification required.
• Minimum 6 months venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and a High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and specimen collection following procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, and store specimens per test orders.
• Explain venipuncture process clearly to patients.
• Ensure accurate labeling and match requisitions to tubes.
• Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in trainings.
• Answer inquiries and review lab results as needed.
