Job summary

One Medical is seeking a Lab Services Specialist/Member Support Specialist (Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant) at our Sunnyvale Cherry Orchard office. You will provide venipuncture and clinical support, and ensure a welcoming, on-brand patient experience in the lobby and lab.

You will join a collaborative team, master our tech tools, and deliver compassionate, patient-centered service. This full-time role includes 40 hours/week with weekday/weekend shifts and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of training/externship.
• An active phlebotomy certification to practice in CA.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to deliver customer-centric solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in computer technology and multiple software systems.
• Experience working on collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to convey confidence and deliver patient-centered care during collection.

Responsibilities

• Use C-I-CARE framework in all patient interactions to ensure a positive in-office experience.
• Provide venipuncture services for a diverse patient population.
• Perform extended scope duties such as non-blood collection, EKGs, vitals, vaccines, and swabs.
• Maintain proper specimen handling, labeling, and disposal; uphold inventory and sterilization standards.
• Respond to patient messages and assist with lab case follow-up and clerical tasks.
• Handle front-of-house duties including check-in/out, insurance verification, and paperwork.
