Job summary

CSL Vifor in San Antonio, TX seeks a Pheresis Processing Technician to prepare donors and equipment for the pheresis procedure, monitor the process, and respond to alarms. You will disconnect donors when complete and document events using a PDA, linking equipment to donors per SOPs.

You will maintain a safe, compliant work area, assist with cross-training, and protect donor and center information confidentiality while adhering to HSE and OSHA policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Some experience in medical or health provider environment preferred.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and linking equipment to donors using the PDA.
• Link equipment and consumables to the appropriate donor in the donor information system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data per SOPs.
• Maintain clean work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain donor, personnel, and center information confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required depending on needs.
