Job summary

CSL Evansville is seeking a dedicated pheresis support technician to prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process. You will ready the autopheresis machine and monitor the donor during the procedure.

This role requires strict adherence to SOPs, HSE and OSHA policies, accurate data entry via PDA, and maintaining donor confidentiality; cross-training and bilingual skills may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to any reaction donor may have during or after the pheresis process and notifies staff.
• Uses PDA to record incidents during the pheresis process, such as machine alerts and donor events.
• Uses PDA to link equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the donor.
• Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Maintains clean, safe work environment and ensures supplies are available; follows HSE and OSHA policies.
• Maintains confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
