Job summary

CSL is seeking a donor pheresis support role to prepare donors, area, and equipment for the pheresis process and to monitor the procedure for safety and accuracy. You will operate the autopheresis machine, respond to alarms, and ensure proper data recording in the donor management system.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, HSE/OSHA policies, confidentiality, and potential cross-training across related areas as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals.
Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
Maintains alertness for donor reactions and notifies appropriate staff.
Uses PDA to record incidents, machine alerts, and donor data.
Links equipment and supplies to the donor in the PDA system.
Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic system per SOPs.
Understands policies for hyper immune programs at the center, if applicable.
Maintains a clean, safe work environment and keeps supplies available; follows HSE/OSHA policies.
Maintains confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
Bilingual skills may be required at the organization’s discretion.
Performs job-related duties as assigned.
