Job summary

CSL in Michigan seeks an apheresis support technician to prepare donors, donor area and equipment for pheresis, and to ready the autopheresis machine. You will monitor the donor and process, respond to alarms, record incidents in the PDA, link equipment to donors, and maintain compliant, safe operations per SOPs.

Flexibility for cross-training and bilingual capability may be required; strong attention to safety and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience in a medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
