Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a dedicated pheresis technician to support donor collection operations at our McKeesport, PA center. You will prepare donors, donor areas, and equipment for the pheresis process, monitor procedures, and respond to alarms to ensure donor safety.

Responsibilities include recording incidents in the PDA, linking equipment to donors, maintaining accurate donor data in the information system, and upholding HSE/OSHA safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any reaction and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents using PDA and link equipment to donors.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
