Job summary

CSL Vifor Johnston, RI is seeking a detail-oriented pheresis support technician to assist the donor, operate and prep the pheresis equipment, and maintain accurate records. This on-site role emphasizes safety, sanitation, and careful observation of donor responses throughout the process.

Responsibilities include preparing the machine, monitoring signals, recording incidents with a PDA, ensuring supplies, and safeguarding donor confidentiality while following SOPs and health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience, preferably in a medical/health provider environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic math calculations required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis processors.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, and respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and link equipment to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• Possibility of cross-training in other areas and bilingual requirements.
