Qualifications

• Completed CSL Plasma DST training.
• External candidates must have a minimum of 6 months’ experience as a phlebotomist; one year preferable.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum twelve (12) months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• For Centers located in CA additional requirements may apply per local documentation.

Responsibilities

• Collect plasma from donors by performing venipuncture and monitoring the pheresis process.
• Per SOPs, perform all aspects of pheresis and plasma collection including donor setup and disconnect.
• Monitor donors and evaluate vein performance to optimize donation time and safety.
• Educate donors on the donation process, screening tests, fees, policies, and nutrition.
• Record incidents and donor data accurately in the electronic donor information system.
