Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a donor center professional to perform venipuncture and pheresis procedures, monitor donors, document events, and educate donors on processes and policies. You will handle equipment, maintain safety, and ensure donor comfort in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include data entry, incident documentation, and adherence to OSHA/HSE policies while maintaining confidentiality and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience; 12 months preferred.
• Experience in medical/healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedure and plasma collection per SOPs.
• Carry out venipuncture to begin pheresis process according to FDA guidance.
• Evaluate donor vein performance and adjust to expedite donation and ensure safety.
• Educate donors on donor process, screening, tests, fees, and policies.
• Monitor donors for reactions and assist or notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents on PDA and document alarms or adverse events.
• Calibrate equipment and resolve complex alarms per SOPs.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and document incidents.
• Monitor donor flow to maintain turnover and report flow issues.
• Collect arm or blood samples for donor testing.
• Enter donor data into electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Understand hyperimmune program policies when applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and manage supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed; bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
