Job summary

CSL Plasma in Las Cruces, NM, is seeking a donor phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and pheresis procedures in accordance with SOPs. You will monitor donors, set up equipment, document data, and ensure safety and efficiency in a fast-paced plasma center.

External candidates need at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience; internal CSL staff should have completed the CSL Plasma DST training. CA centers require additional certifications. Strong attention to detail and safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months experience as a phlebotomist for external candidates; internal CSL employees must have completed CSL Plasma DST training.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum twelve months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• For Centers in CA, state certification as Phlebotomy Technician I or RN license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and pheresis procedures in accordance with SOPs.
• Monitor donor during pheresis, set up donor equipment, and disconnect donor after procedure.
• Record donor data accurately in the donor information system and handle machine alarms or donor issues.
• Ensure donor safety, product quality, and positive donor experience; maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Respond to donor reactions and assist staff as needed, including equipment maintenance and calibration.
