Job summary

CSL seeks a dedicated team member to perform pheresis and plasma collection, ensuring donor safety and product quality. You will conduct venipuncture, monitor donor responses, and educate donors on screening and center policies.

Role requires strong adherence to SOPs, ability to manage donor flow, and occasional cross-training. Benefits include comprehensive health plans and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months experience in a medical or health care environment preferred.
• Specialized medical or phlebotomy training preferred.
• Bilingual skills may be required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedures and plasma collection per SOPs, including donor setup, monitoring and disconnect.
• Conduct venipuncture to initiate pheresis process in line with FDA guidelines.
• Assess and address donor vein performance to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Educate donors about therapeutic products, screening tests, appointment policies and center rules.
• Monitor donors for reactions and assist or alert staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data in the donor information system using a PDA.
• Provide guidance and training on procedures to donor floor staff as required.
• Coordinate donor flow and allocate resources to reduce backlog.
