Job summary

CSL Plasma in Tulsa, OK is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist/Donor Collection specialist. You will perform pheresis procedures, monitor donors and ensure safety and efficiency throughout the collection process.

The role requires completing CSL Plasma DST training or equivalent, with external candidates needing 6+ months of phlebotomy experience and a preference for 12 months in a medical setting. Responsibilities include venipuncture, donor education, incident documentation and equipment

Qualifications

• Must have completed CSL Plasma DST training (internal candidates).
• External candidates must have at least 6 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Minimum twelve months in a medical or health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pheresis procedures and donor monitoring in compliance with SOPs.
• Conduct donor venipuncture to initiate the pheresis process.
• Evaluate donor vein performance and adjust as needed for efficiency and safety.
• Educate donors on screening, health checks, nutrition and center policies.
• Monitor donors for adverse reactions and assist or escalate as needed.
• Record incidents, alarms and donor data in the electronic system.
• Troubleshoot equipment and maintain documentation of maintenance.
• Maintain donor flow on the floor and communicate issues to supervision.
• Collect arm samples or whole blood for testing as required.
• Keep accurate donor records and comply with privacy policies.
• Understand hyper immune program policies if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and supply levels.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies and promote safety in all actions.
• Maintain confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas and perform extra duties as assigned.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization discretion.
