Job summary

CSL is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomy/Pheresis Technician to join our Indiana center. You will prepare donors, areas and equipment, monitor the pheresis process, and respond to alarms while ensuring donor safety and data accuracy.

Responsibilities include recording incidents with the PDA, linking equipment to donors, maintaining clean operations, confidentiality, and adhering to SOPs, HSE and OSHA policies. Cross-training and bilingual capability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare autopheresis machine for pheresis process.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any reaction donor may have during or after the pheresis process and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents using PDA during the pheresis process (machine alerts, alarms, volume variances, adverse events).
• Link equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor using PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system per SOPs.
• Understand policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain clean, efficient work environment and ensure sufficient operating supplies; follow HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
