Job summary

CSL Vifor seeks apheresis support staff to prepare donors, equipment, and the pheresis process, while monitoring donors and responding to alarms. You will record incidents using a PDA, link supplies to donors, and ensure accurate data entry per SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents during pheresis, including alarms and events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in the pheresis process to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor to donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Understand policies related to hyper immune programs, if applicable.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and adequate supplies; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
• Bilingual skills may be required, at the organization’s discretion.
• Perform assignable job-related duties.
