Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking an individual to support donor pheresis operations. The role involves preparing the autopheresis equipment, monitoring donors, and disconnecting donors after the procedure while remaining vigilant for any donor reactions.

You will use a PDA to record incidents, link equipment to donors, and ensure accurate donor data in the information system according to SOPs; confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in a medical or health provider environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions during/after pheresis and notify staff if needed.
• Record incidents in the PDA including machine alerts, volume variances and adverse events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the donor information system using the PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the donor information system per SOPs.
• Understand policies related to hyper-immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are stocked; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain donor, center, and personnel confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at the organization’s discretion.
