Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a donor center technician to prepare autopheresis machines and monitor donors during pheresis procedures. The role requires operating equipment, recording incidents with a PDA, and ensuring data accuracy in donor records.

You will work to maintain safety, follow SOPs, and communicate donor flow issues to supervision. Prior medical environment exposure is preferred and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.
• Must understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Willing to work overtime or extended hours to support center operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for thepheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and thepheresis process; responds to alarms or signals.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to any donor reactions and notifies staff as needed.
• Uses PDA to record incidents during thepheresis, such as alarms and events.
• Links equipment and supplies used in thepheresis to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information system.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and follows HSE and OSHA policies.
