Job summary

CSL Vifor in Fort Smith, AR seeks a donor center technician to prepare the autopheresis equipment, donor area, and supplies for pheresis procedures.

You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and play a critical role in monitoring donors, responding to alarms, and ensuring accurate donor data entry using the PDA and donor information system.

The position emphasizes safety, adherence to SOPs, and potential cross-training across areas to support center operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in a medical or health provider environment.
• Capability to perform basic math calculations.
• Bilingual skills may be required depending on center needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to donor reactions and notifies appropriate staff.
• Uses PDA to record incidents, machine alerts and donor data.
• Links equipment and supplies used to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alerts Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follows HSE and OSHA policies; promotes safety in all actions.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
