Job summary

CSL Vifor in Tulsa seeks a Donor Center Technician to prepare the autopheresis machine, donor area, and equipment for pheresis. You will monitor donors, respond to alarms, and disconnect after completion, while recording incidents using the PDA and maintaining donor data per SOPs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience in medical/health provider environment or equivalent.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals that may occur during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness and awareness to donor reactions during or after pheresis; notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents during the pheresis process (machine alerts, volume variances, donor adverse events).
• Link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the donor in the PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as SOPs dictate.
• Understand policies and procedures related to hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available; follow HSE and OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required at the organization's discretion.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
