Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a donor center technician to prepare autopheresis equipment and monitor donors during pheresis procedures. You will ensure safe operation, record events in the PDA, and maintain data accuracy in the donor information system.

The role requires attention to safety, the ability to follow SOPs, and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma and at least 3 months of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare autopheresis machine for pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms/signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents during pheresis, such as machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and soft goods used to the appropriate donor in PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain clean, efficient work environment; ensure supplies and forms are available; follow HSE and OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization’s discretion.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
