Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience in a medical or health provider environment preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for pheresis process.
• Prepare autopheresis machine for pheresis process.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect donor when process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and equipment linkages in the PDA during pheresis.
• Link equipment and consumables used to the appropriate donor.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data recording in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Understand policies related to hyper immune programs when applicable.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment; ensure supplies and forms are available; follow HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintain confidentiality of all donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization’s discretion.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
