Job summary

CSL is seeking a part-time donor pheresis support technician to prepare the machine and donor area for pheresis, monitor the procedure, and ensure accurate data entry in the donor information system.

Responsibilities include responding to alarms, documenting incidents, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in accordance with HSE/OSHA policies. Prior healthcare exposure is preferred, with a HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process and respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify appropriate staff.
• Record incidents and donor data using the PDA and donor information system.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Keep records accurate in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies to maintain a safe work environment.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
