Job summary

The role requires basic math, 3 months of related experience, and potential cross-training in other areas. Physical tasks include standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and wearing PPE as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain awareness of donor reactions during/after pheresis and notify staff.
• Record incidents via PDA; link equipment and supplies to the donor.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Record donor data accurately in the donor information system per SOPs.
• Follow HSE/OSHA policies; promote safety in actions.
• Maintain confidentiality of all donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
