Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a donor center technician to prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for pheresis procedures. You will monitor the donor and machine, respond to alarms, and ensure proper documentation of events and donor data in the electronic system.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, privacy, and equipment readiness, with potential cross-training and adherence to SOPs, HSE/OSHA guidelines, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and donor data in the PDA and donor information system.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Maintain accurate donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow SOPs and Health, Safety & Environmental policies; promote safety.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Maintain donor confidentiality.
