Job summary

CSL Johnston, RI is seeking a responsible donor pheresis support role to prepare machines, monitor the procedure, and ensure donor safety. You will record incidents, link equipment to donors, and maintain accurate data in the donor information system.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 3 months in a medical setting, and basic math skills. Local OHS policies apply, with potential cross-training and occasional bilingual needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in medical or health provider environments preferred.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process and responds to alarms.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to donor reactions and notifies staff as needed.
• Uses PDA to record incidents and link equipment to the donor.
• Records donor data in the electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Adheres to HSE and OSHA policies and promotes safety.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organizational discretion.
