Job summary

CSL Plasma in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Pheresis Technician to support donor collections. You will prepare the donor, donor area, and equipment for the pheresis process, monitor the procedure, and respond to alarms while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least three months in a medical setting, basic math, and the ability to document events using the PDA in line with SOPs; bilingual abilities may be beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents, alarms, volumes and events using the PDA.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data in the electronic management system per SOPs.
• Follow HSE and OSHA policies; keep a clean, safe work environment.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at the organization’s discretion.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
