Job summary

CSL in Milwaukee seeks a Donor Pheresis Technician to prepare donor areas and equipment for pheresis, monitor procedures, and respond to alarms. You will maintain donor safety, record incidents in the PDA, and link equipment to donors in the information system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience in medical or health provider environment preferred.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents using PDA, including machine alerts and events.
• Link equipment and supplies to the donor in the donor information system.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data in the electronic system per SOPs.
• Understand policies for hyper immune programs at the center if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, efficient work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• Follow all HSE and OSHA policies and promote safety.
• Maintain donor, personnel and center information confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas as needed.
• Bilingual skills may be required at organization’s discretion.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
