Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a Donor Pheresis Technician in Columbia, SC to prepare donors and equipment for the pheresis process and to monitor both donor and machine throughout the procedure. You will record incidents in the PDA and ensure proper linkage of equipment to each donor.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, safe work environment, following HSE/OSHA policies, and protecting donor confidentiality. Cross-training and bilingual capabilities may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor donor and pheresis process; respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions; notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents during pheresis and link equipment to donor.
• Link equipment and soft goods to the donor in PDA.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate donor data in the electronic donor info system per SOPs.
• Follow HSE/ OSHA policies; promote safety.
• Maintain donor, center confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual may be required.
