Job summary

CSL is seeking a Pheresis Support Technician to prepare donor areas and equipment for pheresis procedures. You will monitor donors, respond to alarms, and disconnect donors when finished, while ensuring accurate data entry and adherence to SOPs.

Responsibilities include recording incidents on a PDA, linking equipment to donors, and maintaining a clean, compliant work environment. Some roles may be cross-trained and bilingual skills could be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 3 months work experience, preferably in medical or health provider setting.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents in the PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Link equipment and supplies used in pheresis to the donor in the system.
• Maintain accurate donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
• Follow SOPs and HIPAA/privacy requirements; maintain confidentiality.
• May be cross-trained in other areas to meet business needs.
