Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking apheresis staff in Albuquerque, NM to prepare donor and equipment for pheresis and monitor the process. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and ensure proper handling of alarms and donor safety.

Responsibilities include preparing the autopheresis machine, recording events with a PDA, and maintaining accurate donor data per SOPs. A high school diploma and at least 3 months in a medical setting are required, with possible bilingual requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after the pheresis process and notify appropriate staff.
• Use PDA to record incidents during the pheresis process (machine alerts, alarms, volume variances, donor events).
• Use PDA to link equipment and soft goods to the appropriate donor.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Record donor data accurately in the electronic donor information management system as per SOPs.
