Job summary

CSL Vifor in Kent, WA is seeking apheresis support staff to prepare the donor area and equipment for pheresis processes. You will report to the Assistant Center Manager and assist with donor monitoring and system documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 3 months in a medical setting, and basic math skills. May require bilingual capabilities and cross-training in other areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months’ work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Will perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to any donor reactions and notify staff as needed.
• Use PDA to record incidents during the pheresis process and link equipment to donors.
• Link equipment and soft goods used in the pheresis process to the appropriate donor.
• Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information system.
• Understand policies related to hyper immune programs, if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure supplies are available.
• May be cross-trained in other areas.
• Bilingual skills may be required as needed.
• Perform job-related duties as assigned.
