CSL in Peoria is seeking a donation processing technician to support the pheresis program. The role prepares donors, equipment, monitors procedures, and responds to alarms, ensuring donor safety and accuracy of data in the donor information system.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least three months of related work experience, preferably in medical settings, with basic math skills. Cross-training and bilingual ability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three months' work experience in medical or health provider environment or equivalent.
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations.

Responsabilités

• Responsible for preparing the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepares the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitors the donor and the pheresis process, responds to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnects the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintains alertness to any donor reaction during or after pheresis and notifies staff.
• Records incidents during pheresis using PDA, including machine alerts and donor events.
• Links equipment and consumables used to the appropriate donor in the PDA.
• Alerts supervisor of donor flow issues.
• Ensures accurate recording of donor data in electronic donor information system per SOPs.
• Understands policies for hyper immune programs; maintains clean work environment and supplies; follows HSE/OSHA policies.
• Maintains confidentiality of donor and center information.
• May be cross-trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.
