Job summary

CSL Plasma is seeking a donor pheresis support technician to prepare donors, equipment, and work area for pheresis procedures at a CSL Plasma center in the United States. Responsibilities include monitoring donors, responding to alarms, and recording events using a PDA while ensuring safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three (3) months' work experience, preferably in medical or health provider environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to perform basic math calculations

Responsibilities

• Prepare the donor, donor area and equipment for the pheresis process.
• Prepare the autopheresis machine for the pheresis process.
• Monitor the donor and the pheresis process, respond to alarms or signals during the process.
• Disconnect the donor when the process is complete.
• Maintain alertness to donor reactions during or after pheresis and notify staff as needed.
• Record incidents and machine data using the PDA during the pheresis process.
• Link equipment and supplies to the appropriate donor in the system.
• Alert supervisor of donor flow issues and maintain accurate donor data in the electronic system.
